Discover Torino's Baroque grandeur with an exclusive tour of Palazzo Lascaris, one of the city's most fascinating sites. Built between 1663 and 1665, probably designed by architect Amedeo di Castellamonte, the palace is now the home of the Piedmont Regional Assembly. This extraordinary stately home will allow you to explore magnificent rooms and spaces that narrate centuries of history, amid elegance and opulence.
During the tour you will have the opportunity to admire the imposing atrium with ancient marble columns and newly rediscovered affrescos, walk down the dramatic grand staircase leading to the elegant courtly halls on the second floor, and stroll along the airy loggias. You will discover the painted wooden coffered ceilings, the restored frescoes in the atrium, and those of the “allegories” and “deeds of Samson,” which bring back the enchantment of the Baroque era.
A tour through time that will immerse you in a place that has spanned centuries of history, amid architectural and historical transformations. Thanks to the expert guide who will accompany the group, you will discover curiosities and anecdotes about the history of the palace and the role it still plays today as the seat of the Piedmont Regional Council, the representative body of the Piedmontese community.
This is a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with a symbol of Torino, combining culture, history and architecture in a single experience.
The tour will be offered, in Italian, every third Friday of the month at 5 p.m. and on the occasion of major events: 25 April Liberation Day, 18 May Book Fair, 02 June Republic Day and 28 September Motor Show.
The project is proposed in collaboration with Consiglio Regionale del Piemonte and Turismo Torino e Provincia.
