A walking tour in the heart of post-industrial Torino, discovering the former Fiat ironworks area, now transformed into one of the city's most innovative urban parks. Parco Dora will be the guiding thread of a route that recounts the birth of a new district, where nature, architecture and industrial memory intertwine in an unprecedented balance.
From the starting point at the Chiesa del Santo Volto, the itinerary will wind through footbridges, industrial canopies, pedestrian bridges and green spaces, crossing the Vitali, Valdocco and Michelin areas of Parco Dora. The stops include the Environment Park, the Islands in the Park, the Terraces on the Park and the historic Michelin houses - symbols of a city that looks to the future without forgetting its roots.
An opportunity to explore up close one of Torino's greatest urban transformations.
The tours were realised as part of the project 'Torino. Dire Fare Vedere Design. Una città creativa UNESCO' financed by the Ministero del Turismo and in collaboration with Città di Torino, Urban Center, Circolo del Design and the associations Federagit Confesercenti and G.I.A. Torino and Turismo Torino e Provincia.
