Concert conceived by composer and bass-baritone Mattia Sebastiano Pauluzzo and performed by soprano Rita La Vecchia, Pauluzzo himself and pianist Andrea Troni.
The audience will discover a dreamlike world of fauna through carnivals, bestiaries and imaginary journeys, listening to famous and unpublished pieces characterised by good humour, irony, reflection and poetry.
The head and tail of this musical creature will be, respectively, Camille Saint-Saëns' The Carnival of the Animals, transcribed for voices and piano by Pauluzzo, who also wrote the lyrics, and Il viaggio, a fantasy for the same trio of musicians composed by Pauluzzo based on a poem by Edward Lear; the neck, heart and plumage will be provided by Joplin, Brahms and Rameau... and who knows, there may even be room for a few zoological encores.
