An afternoon entitled Le masche… tutta un’altra storia (The witches… a whole other story), or how knowledge of the territory is passed down through tradition, folklore and the magical eye of the people who inhabit it.
After meeting in the square in front of the Società di Mutuo Soccorso (la Sucità di Campo, Via Giuseppe Goglio 14), participants will continue to the nearby Church of San Defendente, where themed readings will take place, followed by a short walk to the Cascina del Piandivul.
The initiative aims to revive the memory of stories and legends linked to the figure of the masca, very different from the stereotype of the witch, deeply connected both to knowledge of herbs and nature and to the ancient myths of the Mother Goddess and the Sacred Feminine.
The texts are taken from two stories by Luciana Frasca Pozzo with Daniela Bozzello and from the book Nel Mondo delle Masche-Racconti ritrovati (In the World of Masche - Rediscovered Stories) by Ivo Chiolerio, Wilma Basolo and Marina Panero. Handmade “maschette” will be available for purchase.
At Piandivul, in a setting created especially for the occasion, participants will be welcomed with a brief presentation of the book, themed entertainment with stories and dances by Annarita De Michele, professional dancer and choreographer, card readings and tastings of local products with wines by Ivano Truchetto and the Valmalesina farm. for those who wish, Olga Kondratenko will harmonise the body's energy field.
A themed snack will also be offered
