On Epiphany day, the notes of Pifferi e Tamburi (Pipes and Drums) wake the city with the traditional Carnival opening march; in the late morning the investiture ceremony of the new General, in the afternoon the installation of the Magnificent Podestà, the Ceremony of the Ceri and the procession to the Chapel of the Three Kings.
