An evening hike to await midnight at one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Canavese area, and ring in the New Year with joy and a unique twist!
We'll depart from approximately 1,000 meters above sea level on the slopes of the Canavese Prealps, near the little church of Madonna della Neve, above Canischio. From there, we'll follow the long dirt road, likely with some traces of snow, that climbs towards the ridge connecting Cima Mares to Monte Soglio. The entire area offers an exceptional view of the plain and the Western Alps, and we'll stop to await midnight and toast together in joy: if possible, at the Church of San Bernardo di Mentone at 1,540 meters above sea level. The nearly full moon will add to the charm of the activity. Appropriate clothing and hiking footwear are required; a camp stove will be brought to prepare hot drinks to warm up. Please consult me for details on clothing and equipment, but the hike itself is not demanding.
