Religious buildings in Torino

One of the designers of this, Torino’s largest historical church, was Guarino Guarini. However, the final refurbishing was by Filippo Juvarra (1714). An enormous vault covers the single nave of the church, and rests on the elliptical side chapels.

The church was built to the design of Edoardo Arborio Mella (1878) on the initiative of Don Giovanni Bosco. The wax pictures in the central nave, the presbytery and the apse were produced by Enrico Reffo between 1881 and 1882.
