Following the winter break, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Borgo Vecchio, Avigliana, is once again hosting a packed programme of musical and cultural events, in an intimate setting that is particularly dear to both the public and the artists.
The theme chosen for the 2026 edition is People, Figures and Personalities: a series dedicated to the men and women who have left their mark in various fields of knowledge and culture, from music to literature, from philosophy to science; not only famous figures, but also lesser-known individuals who have contributed, often quietly, to the progress of humanity.
Another highlight of the festival will be the beautifully restored 1900 Lipp & Sons baby grand piano, which will provide the accompaniment for numerous events with its warm and brilliant tones.
The first event, entitled Orpheus, Pan, Marsyas, Apollo and Athena, is hosted by Stefano Cavanna, who was honoured by the German town of Hamelin as the Pied Piper
