Enjoy the immersive experience of a sound walk using special binaural headphones, designed to offer an immersive audio experience in the evocative landscape of Colle del Nivolet. The activity contributes to scientific research on the sounds of nature and the perception of sound in mountain ecosystems.
The walk will be accompanied by an exclusive Gran Paradiso National Park guide and a team of researchers from the University of Milan-Bicocca and ARPA Valle d'Aosta, who will lead you along a trail with specific listening activities. During the walk, you will be invited to stop at specific points, where you will be asked to concentrate on listening to the sound environment for about two minutes. Meanwhile, an operator equipped with binaural headphones will record the surrounding sounds to obtain a faithful representation of the acoustic landscape. At the end of each listening session, we will ask you to answer a short questionnaire that will help us understand your perception of the soundscape.
Departures at 9.30am, 11.30am, 2pm and 4pm.
Duration of the activity: approximately 1 hour 30 minutes:
• 40 minutes of guided walking, alternating with stops for listening and completing the questionnaire (approximately 20 minutes in total)
• Approximately 30 minutes of descent for the return journey, with a guide or independently
