From martyr to legend: what can Saint Cecilia teach us?
From the Roman catacombs to the squares of contemporary Iran, the story of the patron saint of music spans the millennia to speak to us of freedom. A fatal mistranslation transformed a victim of power into an immortal symbol of self-determination: this enigma lies at the heart of this event dedicated to musicians and live entertainment professionals.
With contributions from students and teachers at the Scuola Holden, participants will explore storytelling techniques to craft the narrative of their own musical projects, from programme notes to communication strategies, right through to the language used to speak to audiences of today and tomorrow.
7.00 pm pre-dinner drinks, 8.30 pm workshop led by Gabriele Cervia and Federica Leombruni, with guest Alessandro Avataneo.
