Supersonix continues its journey into the intersections between science and music.
In the first edition, we learned about the materials and shapes of instruments and the science that studies them, investigated the musical instinct of animals and humans, discovered the mathematics behind the Western musical system and in the melodies of great composers, listened to the sounds of forests, observed climate change across the four seasons, and remembered Piero Angela with a journey through space and time via music.
In the second edition, we will discover the secrets of singing, the difference between sound and noise, the interfaces and extensions of the body that allow us to play and enrich our experiences, and the effects of music combined with images. We will continue to explore the musical brain, this time with the stories of Oliver Sacks on the tenth anniversary of his death. All this through simple language and an immersive experience that transcends traditional cultural divisions, because science and music belong to everyone and we can all enjoy them.
