Territori Sociali is the Spazio BAC review that focuses on rights, the environment and mental health. Theatre becomes civic practice: listening, discussion, participation, each title raises questions and invites the audience to take their time, sit down together and imagine concrete possibilities.
The 2025 programme spans different languages, from storytelling to participatory performance, to engage both those who have always loved theatre and those who are discovering it now.
It begins on 16 October with Racconto Personale by Bottega degli Apocrifi: the story of Mamadou, a journey that does not flee war but seeks opportunity, sparking the theme of rights. This is followed on 24 October by La Dama degli Argonauti by Casa degli Alfieri: the love of knowledge and the figure of Jeannette Villepreux Power intertwine memory, science and care for the environment.
On 7 November, Antigone_WEB by Tecnologia Filosofica will be staged: a monologue inspired by Chelsea Manning, the contemporary Antigone who revealed US secrets to WikiLeaks, which tells us about freedom of information, gender dysphoria and war. On 14 November, the highly anticipated repeat performance of The Breath of the World, a Dispari Teatro | SCT Centre production that tackles the climate crisis in a fun and poetic way and helps us understand how to build a better world. On 24 November, it is the turn of OnStage+, a giant game of snakes and ladders on LGBTQIA+ rights: the stage extends to the audience, transforming spectators into co-protagonists. On 5 December, the festival closes with La Buca by Nerval Teatro, a journey between irony and melancholy inspired by Beckett.
