The ‘event’ show that has sold out over 500 times in Italy and abroad, involving over 400,000 spectators between evening and matinee performances.
Honoured with awards and recognitions, such as the Franco Enriquez Award (2017) and the Delia Cajelli Award for theatre (2018), written on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of Luigi Pirandello's death and on tour for over 6 years, it continues to capture the attention of audiences and critics alike. This is thanks to a “minimalist” and essential rewriting by Alessandra Pizzi, also the director of the show, who has managed to “bring back to life” the characters of the novel in a new and contemporary form, all included in the story of the events of a single man, who is then everyone. She thus managed to convince Enrico Lo Verso to give body and voice to the whole story.
The show, as defined by critics, is a psychoanalysis session, in which a disturbing and histrionic Lo Verso navigates the meanders of knowledge and provides the audience with answers, simple ones that are part of our everyday lives but which, caught up in social superstructures, we often fail to see.
