The protagonists of the adventure are Kay and Gerda, two children who are best friends.

One day, a fragment of a magic mirror created by an evil troll enters Kay's eye. From that moment on, the boy becomes mean to everyone, even Gerda.

The Snow Queen finds Kay and enchants him with a kiss, causing him to lose his memory and preventing him from feeling the cold. Gerda, desperate over Kay's disappearance, will face a thousand adventures to find her dear friend and free him from the spell.
