Pralormo Castle is hosting the 26th edition of Messer Tulipano, an extraordinary event that celebrates spring with the blooming of a multitude of tulips and daffodils.
In the historic park, winding flower beds meander among centuries-old trees, offering a unique colour spectacle that includes rare varieties and ever-changing colour schemes. Among this year's new additions are the Princess Elizabeth tulip, dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II of England, and a collection of botanical tulips.
Visitors will be able to discover magnificent flowers up close: from viridiflora tulips with green streaks to parroquet tulips with tousled petals, to the famous black Queen of the Night tulip. The route is enriched by a “river” of blue muscari and a collection of orchids housed in the old greenhouse.
The event is not just about botany: in the Orangery, the Solofiori exhibition displays works by contemporary artists who immortalise nature through sculptures and watercolours.
The experience is also packed with activities for children, costume re-enactments and special events, while a Dog Bar is provided for four-legged friends. You can also enjoy a picnic among the Japanese cherry trees or sample the dishes from the indoor bar-restaurant. A large shopping area offers honey, DOC wines, natural cosmetics and household items.
