The Open Papyrus Jazz Festival (OPJF), a long-standing jazz festival in Ivrea and one of the longest-running events on the Italian jazz scene, will take place from 26 June to 5 September.
• Friday 26 June, 6.00 pm – Castello: press conference to present the festival, opening of the photographic exhibition La solitudine dell’assolo by Carlo Mogavero, dance performance with the Arabesque and Baobab schools
• Thursday 27 August, 6.00 pm – MOMA: Guido Michelone presents the book *Miles Davis. 65 vite dalla A alla Z*; followed by a concert by the Linea Quartet (Aldo Mella on double bass, electric bass and compositions; Manuel Pramotton on tenor and soprano sax; Davide Chioso on vibraphone; Mattia Barbieri on drums)
• Thursday 3 September, 6.00 pm – Spritz: opening of the Sounding Pictures photography exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of Red Records, featuring Veronica Perego on double bass
• Friday 4 September, 9.15 pm – Castello: concert by Odwalla’s The World Percussion and Dance (Massimo Barbiero on marimba, vibraphone and percussion; Matteo Cigna on vibraphone and percussion; Stefano Bertoli on drums; Alex Quagliotti on drums and percussion; Andrea Stracuzzi on percussion; Cheikh Fall on djembe and kora); dance by Sellou Greuet, Ibrahim Outtara and Katia Gatti
• Saturday 5 September, 9.15 pm – Castello: concert by The Art of the Duo (Enrico Pierranunzi on piano, Federica Michisanti on double bass)
In the event of rain, the concerts on 4 and 5 September will take place at the Teatro Giacosa.
