Music & Shows

A concert to present the album recorded last year on the great Camillo Guglielmo Bianchi organ (1862–63), following the restoration that has restored it to its original splendour. The event celebrates the 50th CD in the prestigious ‘Antichi Organi del Canavese’ series, marking its 30th anniversary.

The young organist Silvio Rossini from Ivrea was chosen for this recording; he will also perform on the Bianchi organ with a programme carefully designed to showcase it to its best advantage, ranging from German and French Baroque to 19th-century Italian music, touching on the early days of Cecilianism. The programme will feature works by Buttstedt, Corrette, Balbastre, Padre Davide da Bergamo, Pelazza and Burbatti, some of which are included on the album.

The musical performances will be interspersed with talks by Adriano Giacometto and Roberto Ricco, who will describe their long-standing work and the various stages involved in producing the Romano Canavese album.
