With a comfortable minibus transfer departing from Turin, you will reach the extraordinary Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, a masterpiece of European Baroque architecture and a symbol of courtly life and aristocratic leisure. A guided tour through its sumptuous halls, theatrical decorations, and reception rooms reveals the stories of Pauline Bonaparte, sister of Napoleon, renowned for her charm and unconventional personality, and of the refined Queen Margherita, an icon of elegance and a leading figure of Italian cultural life between the 19th and 20th centuries.
Walking through the palace interiors, you will relive the atmosphere of grand court festivities, hunting parties, and aristocratic gatherings that once animated Savoy life.
The day continues with lunch at a traditional Piedmontese restaurant, featuring a regional menu including a starter, a first or second course, water, and coffee.
In the afternoon, you will visit the magnificent Castello Reale di Racconigi, one of the most intimate and beloved royal residences of the Savoy family. A guided tour through its splendid frescoed rooms and gardens brings to life the stories of Giuseppina of Lorraine, a key figure of the 19th-century court, the sophisticated Queen Margherita, and the gentle Queen Elena of Montenegro.
A journey through public and private love stories, between wives and favorites, including the famous Rosa Vercellana, the “Bela Rosin,” the beloved companion of Victor Emmanuel II.
