For Max Reger, Bach represented the “beginning and end of all music”: the programme for this concert, which begins with W.A. Mozart's Six Preludes and Fugues K 404a and highlights how the reception of Bach's style evolved and changed depending on the era, context and character of each composer, takes us to the late 19th century with a trio by Reger himself, one movement of which echoes Bach's form par excellence: the fugue.
Music by Bach/Mozart, Reger.
Monteverdi Streichtrio: Maximilian Parola violin, Lorenzo Bertero viola, Miriam Cuniberti cello.
