A leisurely tour through medieval history, ancient towers and local flavours. Follow the route and enjoy the Pinerolo Apple Trail.
For the final event of the season, this Welcome Tour offers you the chance to cycle at your own pace, in the spirit of freedom and discovery. Starting from the medieval heart of Frossasco, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the area linking the plain to the foothills, following a route that blends natural beauty with snippets of local history.
The format is simple: cycle at your own pace along the recommended route (GPX track on Outdooractive), enjoy the scenery and stop at the marked points to discover the secrets of this part of the region thanks to the cultural insights along the way.
The route is dotted with stops designed to enrich your ride:
- Historic Frossasco: after the briefing in Piazza Saint Jean de Moirans, set off to discover the architectural features of one of the most charming villages in the area.
- At the Il Granello di Senape farmhouse, you can collect your snack pack, ideal for a quick energy boost.
- Join the Pinerolo-Bruino Cycle Route towards Cumiana. A suggested stop is at the picturesque Torre di S. Giacomo, where you can enjoy your snack whilst listening to stories about the site.
- Via back roads and rural vistas, you’ll arrive in the historic centre of Cumiana for a final immersion in the history and architectural heritage of the town.
The grand finale. The ride will end at the Francesco Camusso Sports Centre, the ideal spot for a relaxed packed lunch and to share the day’s experiences with fellow cyclists before heading back independently.
Meeting point and welcome: 9.30 am in Piazza Saint Jean de Moirans, Frossasco.
Return: Return independently to Frossasco at the end of the day.
