From 21 April to 6 July 2026, Palazzo Madama is hosting the exhibition ‘Monumenta Italia / Cantiere Madama’. Admission is included in the price of a ticket to the collections.

How many monuments are dedicated to women in Turin and other Italian cities? How many were created by women? These and other questions form the starting point for Monumenta Italia, a public art project aimed at raising awareness of the scarcity of monuments dedicated to women: an opportunity for civic reflection on urban artistic heritage, and on what it means today to discuss monumentality, memory and heritage in relation to women’s history.

Monumenta Italia brings together posters, videos and a banner used as tools for reflection in exhibitions, workshops, lectures and actions in public spaces.
