Romanesque churches in the Morainic Amphiteatre of Ivrea along the Francigena and Romea pilgrimage routes

The historic Romanesque Churches of the Ivrea Morainic Amphitheatre circuit is back, opening most of the Romanesque churches in the area to visitors on Sundays throughout the summer season.

The following sites are part of the circuit:

• Bollengo, Sts Pietro e Paolo Church in Pessano and Bell Tower of St Martino in Paerno (Ciucarùn)

• Burolo, St Maria Maddalena Church

• Candia Canavese, Priory Church of St Stefano del Monte

• Chiaverano, St Stefano di Sessano Church

• Ivrea, Cathedral of St Maria Assunta and Bell Tower of St Stefano

• Scarmagno, St Eusebio Church at Masero
