Join us on a walk through the hamlets of Pomaretto and immerse yourself in the spring landscape of the Germanasca Valley to the sound of the hurdy-gurdy. Marvel at nature as it comes to life, rediscover the memory of past events, and be moved by the ancient sounds of Occitan tradition.
With hiking guide Ilenia Quercia and musician Manuel Lerda, we set off from the Waldensian Temple to reach the village of Pons, with its memories of the Resistance; we then climb up to Bout to take in the view accompanied by the ancient rhythm of the hurdy-gurdy.
Amidst the stories and music of this traditional Occitan instrument, we’ll cross woods and fields, all the way to the village of Bleigeri, where the Dahu picnic awaits us:
- salami sandwich
- herb-flavoured lard sandwich
- tasting of Dahu cheese
- Italian salad
- handmade breadsticks
- torcetti
- fruit juice from the Germanasca Valley
- a small bottle of water
