Amleto²

The artist distorts Shakespeare's text, overturning passions and characters in the same circus cage in which a eulogy to madness is consumed. A disconcerting, comical, furious, colourful Hamlet, where tragedy turns into comedy, between power and oblivion, between frivolity and madness.

Filippo Timi's Hamlet is bored, no longer willing to play out the monotonous family story, no longer willing to love Ophelia, no longer willing to do anything. Voices offstage call him back to his destiny, in vain. Around him move the characters sprung from his unstable mind, played by Mascino, Rocco and Lietti, his long-time artistic collaborators.
