On the occasion of the 140th anniversary of Emily Dickinson's death (15 May 1886), this initiative aims to restore complexity and relevance to one of the most influential figures in American literature. It is not a commemorative celebration, but an experience capable of reactivating her voice in the present.

This reinterpretation has given rise to “Fammi un quadro del sole. Omaggio a Emily Dickinson” (Paint me a picture of the sun. Tribute to Emily Dickinson), an artistic and multimedia project that combines visual arts, poetry, music and theatre in an exhibition and performance programme scheduled to take place at Moncalieri Castle.
