The citizens knew, the Church knew, the cultural elite knew what they were full of, who they were full of, the trains that departed from platform 17 of Porta Nuova Station to the concentration camps. How could humanity consciously abdicate its humanity? This invisible manipulative mechanism has a name: it is called the ‘Overton Window’ and it is the typical pattern of dictatorships, with entire peoples all thinking in exactly the same way only to find themselves eventually locked in a cave of imprisonment and terror.
