Departing from the city centre, this fascinating guided walking tour will take you to discover the iconic film locations of Turin and the Savoy Residences that have become protagonists of the big screen.
The itinerary begins with an introduction to the seventh art in front of the National Cinema Museum, a unique institution in Europe dedicated to the history of cinema, admiring from the outside the stunning Mole Antonelliana, the symbol of the city.
We proceed past the RAI Museum of Radio and Television, where we explore the origins of Italian television in the city that was one of the historic centres of RAI production.
We then walk through the elegant architecture of Piazza Vittorio Veneto and the historic centre, discovering locations featured in famous productions such as The Italian Job, Profondo Rosso by Dario Argento, Dopo Mezzanotte, The King’s Man, Il Divo, and numerous TV series set in aristocratic and mysterious Turin, such as La legge di Lidia Poët.
The guided tour also includes the magnificent courtyard, façade, and interiors of Palazzo Carignano, often used as a location for historical productions thanks to its extraordinary Baroque architecture, as well as the courtyard and gardens of the majestic Royal Palace of Turin, an ideal setting for period films and documentaries dedicated to the Savoy monarchy.
