A masterpiece by Gian Giacomo Plantery, Palazzo Saluzzo Paesana has been described as "the most extensive and complex example of an 18th-century aristocratic building". The main front of the palace is not on Via Garibaldi, but on the perpendicular, Via della Consolata, corresponding to the walls of the Roman camp.
