The World Summit on Accessible Tourism is coming

Torino is working to host one of the most important events in the global accessible tourism landscape: the third World Summit on Accessible Tourism "Destinations for All", which will take place from 5th to 7th October 2025 at the Lingotto Conference Centre.

The international event is a unique opportunity for experts, tourism sector operators, institutions and organizations from around the world to compare best practices for making tourism truly inclusive and accessible to all, including people with specific access needs.

A RICH AND COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAMME

The Summit programme will address the challenges and opportunities of accessible tourism through thematic sessions dedicated to the most current topics in the sector:

  • Accessible Tourism and Business: focus on economic opportunities and commercial development
  • Education, training and skills development: for professional growth in the sector
  • Mobility, transport and navigation: infrastructure for truly accessible tourism
  • New technologies for accessible tourism: challenges and opportunities of digital innovation
  • Accessible cultural heritage destinations and sites
  • Best practices in accessible tourism: concrete examples of success from around the world

The programme will include plenary and parallel sessions, with spaces dedicated to networking, exhibitions and scientific poster presentations.

ORGANISERS AND PROMOTERS

The third World Summit on Accessible Tourism – "Destinations for All" takes place in collaboration with UN Tourism, the United Nations agency that promotes sustainable and inclusive tourism, providing a key opportunity to strengthen the global network of accessible destinations.

The event is organised by a Steering Committee composed of public entities and associations committed to tourism inclusion, including CPD, IsITT, ENAT, Kéroul, CAWaB, Turismo Torino e Provincia, ISTO, OPES Italia and ITS Academy Turismo Piemonte, with organisational support from Centro Congressi Internazionale S.r.l. and Symposium S.r.l.

Testifying to the importance of the initiative for the territory, the Summit has received official patronage from the City of Turin, the Piedmont Region and Confesercenti Nazionale.

TORINO, A MODEL OF ACCESSIBILITY AND INNOVATION

The choice of Torino as the Summit venue is no coincidence. The Piedmontese capital has earned the prestigious title of European Capital of Smart Tourism 2025, a recognition awarded by the European Commission that evaluated the city's ability to become more inclusive, accessible and sustainable, while maintaining its distinctive character and balancing urban development with cultural conservation and sustainability.
