The European event, dedicated to users of the WordPress platform, will bring 3,000 participants from 13 to 15 June 2024
It’s Torino the city which will host the WordCamp Europe, the international conference dedicated to WordPress - the most widely used publishing platform in the world. From 13 to 15 June 2024, 3,000 participants, both enthusiasts and experts, will gather to share their knowledge by discussing technologies, tools, services and everything around WordPress and the evolution of web technologies. The official announcement has been given on 10th June in Athens during the 2023 edition.
The event will take place at Lingotto Fiere and will have an estimated economic impact of more than 3.5 million together with high media visibility.
The candidature was presented by Laura Sacco, on behalf of WordPress Italian community with the support of Turismo Torino e Provincia Convention Bureau, which prepared the bid book and hosted the international representatives during the site visits. The decisive factors in the choice of the city were the cooperation with GL Events, in order to obtain the best conditions, and the economic incentive of the ‘Torino for your events' package: an initiative to attract congresses to the city, supported by the Chamber of Commerce Torino.
