The two performances that make up the show are inspired by Fyodor Dostoevsky - the first by Crime and Punishment, the second by The Grand Inquisitor - yet both move away from their sources to create a radically autonomous world, composed of two one-act pieces that explore major themes of humanity such as solitude, ethical choices, suffering and rebirth.
These themes are particularly significant for the authors and performers of the diptych, as the society in which we live often generates, within our bodies and our lives, a strong sense of discomfort and frustration.
Created and performed by Barbara Mazzi & Francesco Gargiulo.
