It is called EXPOSED. Torino Foto Festival the International Festival of Photography in Torino that will bring to the Piedmontese capital every year temporary exhibitions, a specialised fair, didactic activities, meetings, artistic commissions and off events based on a theme and involving the city’s main cultural institutions and independent realities.
Twelve exhibitions, including solo and group shows, 16 artists from 12 countries, 7 prestigious venues (Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, Archivio di Stato, Camera - Centro Italiano per la fotografia, Gallerie d'Italia - Torino, GAM, OGR and Palazzo Carignano): these in short are the numbers of EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival, which presents an international overview of the latest trends in contemporary photography.
‘Beneath the Surface' is the theme of the second edition of the Festiva: an invitation to explore realities and contents hidden beneath the surface of images, not only those captured by artists' lenses, but also those generated, transformed, retouched, through increasingly advanced and interconnected technologies.
The new features of the second edition are the headquarter and free admission: the aim of this second edition of EXPOSED Torino Foto Festival is to involve a wide audience, with a special focus on young people. Hence the decision to make the event accessible to everyone free of charge (by reservation via Qr Code), or with a special price of €5 for the exhibition at the Gallerie d'Italia.
