Ranging from Bach to Thelonious Monk, Igor Levit is widely regarded as the leading interpreter of Beethoven's piano works, releasing his debut album in 2013 playing his last five Piano Sonatas.
Born in Novgorod and raised in Hannover, the 38-year-old pianist makes his first appearance at Lingotto drawing on Beethoven’s repertoire with the First Piano Sonata and the Sonata Appassionata, both laced with passion and despair in their F minor key.
