Tuttaltrastoria is a one-of-a-kind experience: a city walking tour through the streets and squares of Turin’s historic center — from Piazza San Carlo to the Palatine Gates, passing through Via Po, Piazza Castello, and Piazza Carignano.

Created by the non-profit association Quore for the Friendly Piemonte project, the tour offers a fresh and inclusive perspective on Turin and Piedmont’s history, focusing on 12 remarkable historical figures — men and women who played pivotal roles or inspired major changes. Through little-known writings and testimonies, you’ll discover unexpected stories, hidden curiosities, and secret loves.

Along the way, you’ll meet Julius Caesar, called the “Queen of Bithynia” after a youthful scandal; Leonardo da Vinci, twice imprisoned for “misconduct”; and Michelangelo, whose passionate sonnets were censored by his own nephew. There’s also Queen Christina of Sweden, who had an ambassador bow before someone she praised for their beauty, and the great actress Eleonora Duse, who lived a powerful love story with a famous writer.

Led by a captivating and expert guide, the walk (available in Italian and/or English, lasting about 90 minutes) is a journey full of charm and historical surprises. It begins with “Once upon a time...”, but this is Tuttaltrastoria.

By joining the tour, you’re also supporting ToHousing, a co-housing project for vulnerable LGBTIQ+ individuals. Because the future deserves new stories too.
