Bonfante Caffè Pasticceria was established in 1922 and since then the historic café has retained its Art Nouveau furnishings and façade: the marble, mirrors, counters and boiserie give it an evocative 1920s atmosphere.
Having always specialised in the production of Chivasso hazelnuts, a typical local sweet, it also offers a wide selection of classic Piedmontese sweet pastries, both fresh and dry. Run by Maria Rosa Carucci since 1963, since 1992 by her son Franco Ortalda.
The visit will let you discover the secrets of the processing of this product, from the carefully selected raw materials, such as the Piedmont Hazelnut, to the production of the traditional and innovative versions of hazelnuts, up to the packaging in the historical pink bag and in the modern variant on the processing paper.
