On Sunday, November 8, 2026, San Giorgio Canavese will welcome back the Historic San Martino Fair, a day dedicated to local traditions, craftsmanship and community spirit. From 9:00 a.m., the commercial fair and market will open, offering visitors the opportunity to stroll among the stalls and discover a variety of products and interesting finds.
One of this year’s highlights is the first edition of “Piccole creazioni di casa” (“Little Creations from Home”), a market dedicated to hobbies and local crafts. It will provide a space to showcase the creativity, imagination and craftsmanship of local exhibitors, featuring handmade creations and original items.
In the afternoon, the 30th Festival of Trees and Children will take place at the primary school in Vicolo Bianchetti. The gathering is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and will include the blessing of the tree planted by children from the preschool, primary and lower secondary schools, accompanied by a musical performance by the Filarmonica Carlo Botta.
This will be followed by the presentation of a gift to local children born in 2025 and their parents, organised by the Municipal Administration and the Civic Library as a special moment dedicated to young children and their families.
The afternoon will continue in a festive atmosphere with a traditional roasted chestnut gathering, organised in collaboration with the local AVIS and AIDO committees of San Giorgio Canavese.
The Historic San Martino Fair is once again an opportunity for the community to come together, rediscover local traditions and share moments of celebration, with activities that promote craftsmanship, nature and the younger generations.
