A summer’s evening filled with epic tales of champions in black and white, cycling photos, free-wheeling music and dinner under the stars.
• 3.30 pm: Gravel & MTB Experience, a free guided ride of around 30 km through the Collina Morenica, the Val Sangone and the Avigliana Lakes (bookings on 328 888 6979)
• 5.30 pm: opening of the Bike Room at the Casa Conte Rosso Hostel, a new space dedicated to cyclists, featuring bike storage, e-bike charging, a mini workshop, accessories for cycle tourists and a mountain bike hire service
• from 7.00 pm: Jumbo Stories at Ciclocucina. Giorgio and Paolo Viberti, two of the most authoritative voices in Italian cycling journalism, recount over forty years of the Giro d’Italia, the Tour de France, the Olympics and the World Championships, featuring legendary feats, anecdotes and unexpected twists of fate; Dinner under the stars (bookings on 011 9617556) and a DJ set
And also, the photography exhibition Ten Lights | Before Night Falls: images from cycling trips through Morocco, Laos and Albania, captured during the golden hour when fatigue gives way to wonder.
