Mauto is celebrating – to mark the centenary of his birth – Aldo Brovarone, an extraordinary designer and the creator of some of the most elegant cars of the 20th century, both in Italy and around the world.

The exhibition traces Aldo Brovarone’s professional career, focusing in particular on the years he spent at the Pininfarina Design Centre from 1953 to 1988. His pencil brought futuristic concept cars to life, which contributed to the creation of successful models such as the Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto – derived from the Superflow – and to designs for mass-produced cars such as the Peugeot 504, of which over 3,700,000 were manufactured.
On display at MAUTO are drawings from the Pininfarina archive, posters, photographs and a number of significant cars from the Biella-born designer’s output. Among these is one of his masterpieces, the Dino Berlinetta Speciale, unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 1965: 61 years after its Paris debut, the car returns to Italy for the first time to pay tribute to its unforgettable creator.
