The story of the man who changed music.
Remo Belli was born in Mishawaka (Indiana), on June 22, 1927: he was the son of Michele Benedetto Ernesto Belli, emigrated from Alpignano to the USA in 1912, and Desolina Vernasca, emigrated from Caminata di Carpaneto (Piacenza).
Rock 'n' Roll, as we know it today, could never have been played without his synthetic drumheads. In 1964, the Beatles debuted in the USA using his drumheads: thanks to them and drummers like Ringo Starr (who stated that ‘Rock was born thanks to Remo’), who demanded new sounds, new types of drumheads were developed.
The band Borgatta's Factory will enliven the evening by tracing his history and that of acoustic music with a themed concert.
