Intesa Sanpaolo brings the exhibition ‘Anastasia Samoylova. Harbor’ to the Gallerie d’Italia – a new, commissioned project marking the Russian-American artist’s first exhibition in Italy.
Drawing inspiration from Germaine Krull (1897–1985), a pioneer of modern and unconventional photography, and from Luigi Ghirri (1943–1992), an innovator of the photographic image, Samoylova pursues her own photographic analysis, capturing the soul of seven European port cities: Genoa, Venice, Rotterdam, Marseille, Lisbon, Athens and Istanbul.
