Amphitryon is one of Plautus' most famous comedies.
The plot revolves around a soldier named Amphitryon and his servant Sosia, who return home after a long military campaign. However, Jupiter, fascinated by Amphitryon's beautiful wife, Alcmena, decides to take on his appearance in order to seduce her.
Meanwhile, the real Amphitryon, unaware of this, clashes with Sosia, leading to a series of misunderstandings, comical situations and twists and turns. These deceptions create a whirlwind of hilarious situations in which the characters become confused about the true identity of those they are dealing with, offering the audience a light-hearted and entertaining show.
