In August, Torino and Piedmont will take centre stage with two major international events!
After hosting the start of the Giro d'Italia and the third stage of the Tour de France in 2024, Torino is once again ready to become the capital of cycling.
From 23 to 26 August, the start of La Vuelta 25 will see fans given an unforgettable opportunity to follow the champions on the city streets and throughout the region. The event is set to ignite passions and make its mark on cycling history. This year, the race will begin in Piedmont with the first four stages of La Vuelta, which is considered the third oldest race among the Grand Tours of professional road cycling, after the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. Piedmont has the honour of being the only region to have hosted all three major starts of the great cycling races!
However, from 29 to 31 August, Torino's Palavela will also play host to the FIPAV CUP MEN ELITE, the 2025 International Men's Volleyball Tournament. The tournament, which is being organised by the Italian Volleyball Federation in collaboration with the Piedmont Regional Committee, will feature four international teams: Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey.
This official test before the World Championship, which will be held in Pasay and Quezon City, Philippines, from 12 to 28 September 2025, sees the men's national team return to Turin.
