58 countries from all over the world, 11 winter sports in 6 different municipalities of Piedmont: Torino, Pragelato, Bardonecchia, Pinerolo, Torre Pellice and Sestriere. Torino 2025 FISU World University Games Winter, from 13 to 23 January 2025, is the event you cannot miss!
Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, curling, freeskiing, hockey, ice speed skating, snowboarding, figure skating and biathlon, in addition to the two new optional disciplines, namely ski orienteering and ski mountaineering: there will be many winter sports for which university champions from all over the world will compete.
Location
In Torino, the short track and figure skating competitions will be held at the Palavela, and the women's ice hockey tournament, men's semi-finals and finals, and the men's and women's curling tournaments at PalaTazzoli.
The men's hockey preliminaries will be held in the arenas of Torre Pellice and Pinerolo, while Bardonecchia will host alpine skiing, snowboarding, freestyle and freeskiing, Pragelato will host the biathlon and cross-country skiing competitions, and Sestriere will host the new discipline of ski mountaineering.
The next edition of the World University Winter Games will be the first sports event without barriers of any kind. For the first time, the Universiade will be open to Paralympic athletes, who will be able to compete in snow sports disciplines together with able-bodied athletes, in an event under the banner of inclusiveness and social sustainability.
The Sports
The World University Games Winter will see athletes compete in a variety of winter sports on snow and ice at all competition venues. The sporting venues of the 2006 Winter Olympics will return to the big screens and international broadcasters, involving the entire mountain region of Torino.

Events and Competitions
Buy tickets to attend the Opening Ceremony, the short track and figure skating competitions at the Palavela, and the curling and ice hockey competitions at the PalaTazzoli.
Discover all the other sporting and non-sporting events, including the Closing Ceremony, free admission with compulsory booking.
You will be able to attend the outdoor competitions free of charge, subject to capacity and security measures.
In addition to the competitions, there will be an ‘event within the event’ during the Games: the Figure Skating Gala - 19 January at the Palavela.
