The day kicks off at 11.00 am with the Ferragosto Treasure Hunt, an activity designed for families with children aged 4 to 10: through games, clues and challenges to overcome, participants will explore the historic grounds of Miradolo Castle and discover the emotions its trees evoke, learning to observe and understand nature whilst having fun.
From 12.30 pm, the programme continues with the traditional Ferragosto Picnic, to be enjoyed on the castle’s large lawn. Picnic baskets for adults and children are available for collection from the Castle Café between 11.00 am and 12.00 pm: adults can choose between the classic option – guacamole and maize crisps, rustic ciabatta with prosciutto, fresh robiolina cheese, salad and tomato – or the vegetarian option with hummus, grilled vegetables and brie; both include a dessert, water and a soft drink or beer. For younger children, there is a picnic basket containing a Margherita pizza, a sandwich with cooked ham and mozzarella, a dessert and water or fruit juice.
