Carlotta Sillano is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
Her music, centred around the use of pianos, organs, synthesisers and her voice, straddles the boundary between alt-folk and experimental singer-songwriting, and has been described as a synthesis of complex songwriting and a pure pop spirit. Her songs evoke mysterious landscapes and places of memory through a literary, timeless language.
She has released four albums in collaboration with international producers such as Rob Ellis and Paul Evans; her latest, *Nella natura vuota dei simboli appassiti*, was recorded in Iceland and Italy and produced by Taketo Gohara (Vinicio Capossela, Verdena, Elisa).
She has performed hundreds of concerts at festivals, clubs, churches and unconventional venues. She has played, amongst others, at the Premio Tenco, Premio Ciampi, JazzMi, MiTo, Auditorium Parco della Musica, Festival dei Due Mondi, Torino Jazz Festival, Jazz:re:found, Nextones, Liverpool Sound City and Veneto Jazz.
