Culture & Tradition, Music & Shows

On 29 October, Casa Goya, Greg Goya’s temporary artist’s residence, opens at Villa Sanquirico in Turin.

During Turin Art Week, the late 19th-century Art Nouveau villa will open its doors to four days of installations, workshops, talks and music: a temporary home, filled with the artist’s works and his guests, including Sarah Toscano, Zero Assoluto, Eugenio in Via Di Gioia, Stefano Seletti, Alessia Fraioli and Nicolas Ballario.

The project was conceived as a collective experience: those close to the creative world of Greg Goya, a leading figure in the Fast Art movement, are reaching out to the city by promoting a multi-session programme combining art, music and events.

The project brings an informal, pop-style and participatory experience to Turin Art Week, designed to engage a diverse range of people and to reach out even to those who do not usually frequent contemporary art spaces. It does not, therefore, propose a single itinerary or a single way of experiencing it; instead, it invites visitors to choose how to participate and how long to stay, contributing through their presence to what is happening in the house.

This creates a space to be experienced and explored, where artists and creative figures are invited to share works, forms of expression and creative processes, putting together a programme open to the public in which the visual arts, design, music, the spoken word, publishing and participatory practices coexist within the same space.
