“What is singing, if not life passing through your throat?”.
In this show, Vea and Liana Marino lend their voices, bodies and instruments to honour the memory of one of the most intense and controversial figures in Italian music: Mia Martini. This is not merely a biography, but an intimate, first-person narrative that traces the journey of a woman who made authenticity her sole guiding principle.
The two performers alternate between guitar, vocals and storytelling, drawing the audience into the depths of Mimì’s blues and the purity of her truest feelings. A fitting tribute to an artist who paid dearly for her freedom but who never ceased to feel the embrace of her audience.
