Intesa Sanpaolo opens to the public from 11 September to 7 October 2025 at the Gallerie d'Italia the new exhibition "ERIK KESSELS. UN’IMMAGINE" (ERIK KESSELS. AN IMAGE), the latest work by Dutch visual artist Erik Kessels. It is a multimedia installation composed of over 60,000 images from Intesa Sanpaolo's Publifoto Archive, transformed with the help of artificial intelligence to form a single photograph in continuous motion. The result is a fluid portrait of Italy that goes beyond chronological narrative: the images of people, news and sport in the Publifoto Archive are fragments of history that intertwine with one another.
