Against the evocative backdrop of the Pop-App Museum, Pompeo Vagliani, president of the Tancredi di Barolo Foundation, engages in conversation with authors, artists, illustrators, pop-up designers and academics.
The event features Andrea Bignone, a paper engineer and model designer from Genoa, who will explain the technical and creative stages involved in taking a prototype to the final product. Changes of mind, unforeseen circumstances and adjustments made along the way are all part of a process characterised by experimentation and constant transformation, which takes an idea all the way to the creation of a pop-up book or a 3D jigsaw puzzle.
