One of the most eagerly awaited events in the Canavese area is back: the Feast of the Ascension in Baldissero Canavese.
However, the 2026 edition is not just any ordinary celebration: the community is coming together to mark the 50th anniversary of the Padiglione, the beating heart of the event and a symbol of a collective commitment that has spanned the decades.
The programme of events is packed and varied, with a particular focus on integration and fun:
• Saturday 30 May - International Sport: a day dedicated to friendship with a football match between the local team and our Polish guests from Korona Góra Ropczycka; disco evening with Good Old Times by Energia Discoteca Mobile
• Sunday 31 - Conscripts’ Reunion: a special invitation to all those born in years ending in 6; dance evening with Franco & la Band Italiana
• Monday 1 June - Dance evening with Lorenzo Project Band
• Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 - Gastronomic Delights: in addition to the famous barbecue, the evenings will be dedicated to traditional fried fish
• Friday 5 - Disco night with Disco Vintage DJ Set
• Saturday 6 - Dance evening with the Kiss Orchestra
• Sunday 7 - Culture and Local Heritage: finals of the UISP Veterans’ Cup and, in the afternoon, a special opening of the Vespiolla Chapel, a rare opportunity to admire thousand-year-old frescoes
